This year, I won the U16 Best Midfielder Award 2011. It was good, as I had hoped for. To be honest, I had never thought of winning an award this year. Competition for winning an award was tight and tough because of the wide range of players we had. We had many good midfielders like Daniel Ong, Umar Waqqiuddin, Govin Ari, and Jackie Seah. I had originally thought that Daniel Ong would be the winner of the Most Valuable Player because of his 9 goals in the Dato Chu' Cup. And Umar as the leading competitor to the Best Midfielder Award because of my slow start to the year for the team.

Winners (U16):

Best Goalkeeper: Rajkumar Thangavelu
Best Defender: Sharran Raj
Best Midfielder: Tommy Wong
Best Striker: Daniel Ong
Most Improved Player: Dharshen Mahalingam
Most Valuable Player: Rajkumar Thangavelu

I was glad I won the Best Midfielder Award. It's already December. Wow. RSC U16 qualified for the Knockout Rounds in the JFL Malaysia U16 League. We are facing Akademi Felda United from Group A. Last Saturday, we defeated La Seleccio de Kuala Lumpur and Blues FC. I didn't score, but it didn't matter cause those 6 points were all I wanted.

RSC 3-1 La Seleccio de Kuala Lumpur.

Goalscorers for RSC: Selvaraji Ganesan, Umar Waqqiuddin, Daniel Ong.

RSC 2-1 Blues FC.

Goalscorers for RSC: Jackie Seah, Daniel Ong.

I'm glad that we've qualified. Now, it's time to turn my attention to the Dato' Chu Cup this weekend. RSC are placed in a tough group along with KLYS and CIMB-YFA, but that doesn't mean that we won't win. We will win. Only 12 players were selected for the 7 a-side tournament. I can say that last year's team are stronger than this year's but we are still very much capable of winning the Cup.

Last year's Dato' Chu team: Rajkumar Thangavelu, Morgan Nathan, Nicholas Ng, Sundeep Singh, Sharran Raj, Triptesh Mehta, Prashant Kharbanda, Joshua Yeoh, Ishaq Vadillo, Tommy Wong, Darshen Ganesan, Sanjiyven Alfred.

This year's Dato' Chu team: Rajkumar Thangavelu, Dharshen Mahalingam, Sharran Raj, Triptesh Mehta, Govin Ari, Daniel Ong, Umar Waqqiuddin, Jackie Seah, Danial Jamaludin, Tommy Wong, Marcus Mah, Selvaraji Ganesan.

Hoping for the best to happen this weekend, and it's my last chance to win my first Dato' Chu Cup medal. I haven't gotten the gold medal of this tournament and I really want it. That's about it for football. Fingers crossed for the Cup!

Entry #17

Things are strange. Why it ended so early? Because Subang Jaya FC were kicked out from the Junior Football League because they used ineligible players, at least 8 of them. Plus, we had another one of our players getting sent off in the match against CIMB-YFA. The game against YFA was my last suspension, so I'd be able to play against Subang Jaya FC. Well, because Subang Jaya FC were kicked out, I need to wait another week before getting back on the pitch. Unbelievable!

Alright, game against YFA. How'd it go? RSC lost 0-2. Both goals were defensive errors. First goal was scored by Obiakor Johnbosco and the second goal was scored by Syafiq Khor. To me, watching from the sidelines, I thought it was a one-sided match. YFA were attacking endlessly. All RSC got to do was defend, defend and defend. Only a few shots to their goal, but keeper saved 'em all. It hurt having to watch the team losing. I'd been able to help if it wasn't for my red card last weekend. Not a good start to the weekend, but we'll see how it turns out.

Entry #12

Yes! Still on the team sheet for U16 JFL Gameweek 2 tomorrow. Two games will be played. Our opponents are CIMB-YFA and Subang Jaya FC. CIMB-YFA are our toughest opponents, but meanwhile, Subang Jaya are on an impressive start to the League with 2 wins from 2 games. Top of the group, with RSC second. I'm still serving suspension against CIMB-YFA, but I'll be able to play against CIMB-YFA. It'll be difficult against CIMB-YFA because I am serving suspension, Jackie still out with a high fever and Daniel Ong doubtful with a knee injury. If we win CIMB-YFA, I'll make sure the team win both the games, then 12 points in the bag from both the gameweeks.

Team selected for Gameweek 2:

Goalkeepers: Rajkumar Thangavelu, Damien Lim.
Defenders: Nicholas Ng, Connor John, Sharran Raj, Sundeep Singh, Dharshen Mahalingam, Triptesh Mehta.
Midfielders: Rizal Zakri, Ian Tan, Umar Waqqiuddin, Daniel Ong, Tommy Wong, Jackie Seah.
Strikers: Marcus Mah, Danial Jamaludin, Selvaraj Pillay.

Set-pieces training will take place today as we all aim to improve on free-kicks and headers from corner kicks. Lets all work hard and get the 6 points from Gameweek 2 to accumulate 12 points altogether! Lets go RSC!

Entry #11

A lot has happened while I wasn't posting! I'll just skip to last weekend. It was Liverpool vs. Manchester United! So I headed out to Laundry Bar at the Curve with Jackie, Triptesh and Dharshen Mahalingam. Jackie brought some friends and Triptesh brought a friend, so Dharshen and I were the only ones who went there with one another. Sounds gay I know. I was there much earlier before the game started. Jackie was already there with 4 of his friends. They were Han, Ines, Vanessa and Rebecca. I already knew Han before so new friends were only Ines and Vanessa since I didn't talk to Rebecca that night.

We watched the game, then we played a little game and headed home since our opening match in the U16 Astro Junior Football League was the next day. It didn't really matter anyway, because on that day, I got red-carded for swearing after being tackled on the 7th minute in the opening match for RSC. Smooth move, huh? Yeah, I have to serve a two-match suspension. I missed most of the first game, then was suspended for the second game, and I still have to serve suspension for the next match. Plus, what killed me is that the next match I have to serve suspension for is the next match that we are playing against CIMB-YFA, who are RSC's rivals. They are a really good team, and I really enjoy playing against them. Sucks that I got red-carded.

Anyway, both the matches on Sunday were won with scores of 1-0 and 2-0. In the first game, played at 10:30am, Daniel Ong scored in the 4th minute of the game. Second game, played at 1:30pm, Danial Jamaludin and Umar Waqqiuddin scored in the game. I forgot the minutes they scored in, but Danial scored in the first half and Umar scored in the second. Well done boys! Already looking forward to Saturday since I'll be able to play in the second match against Subang Jaya FC.

I really enjoyed the weekend. It was finally a weekend I enjoyed after quite some time. Maybe the best weekend in almost 2 to 3 months? If I didn't get sent off, my weekend would have been much, much better. Yeah, good weekend, why? Yeah, all on Saturday night. *winks* Checking out!

Entry #10

Pictures of the game between the RSC U16s and the BFC U16s. RSC U-16 vs BFC U-16. I was playing against my former club, the one that raised me to kick a ball. Anyway, the match started at 8:30 am. It was a good match. A lot of goals scored in this game. I am quite surprised Coach Lim slotted me into the centre back position. The starting line-up was..

Goalkeeper: Jackie Seah
Right Back: Nicholas Ng
Centre Back: Tommy Wong
Centre Back: Dharshen Mahalingam
Left Back: Triptesh Mehta (Captain)
Right Midfielder: Rizal Zakri
Centre Midfielder: Danial Jamaludin
Centre Midfielder: Govin Ari
Left Midfielder: Umar Waqqiudin
Striker: Harry Chai
Striker: Selvaraji

The match started off a little shaky. But when Govin was substituted for Daniel Ong around the 10th minute mark, the match started going. Just a couple of seconds after Daniel came in, he scored. After that, Coach Lim switched me to my original position, right midfield. I got onto a ball, and dribbled all the way and got the second goal for RSC, my first of the day. Couple of minutes later, I repeated the same feat, and RSC went 3 up and my second of the day. Then later on, BFC replied with a goal. Before half-time, Selvaraji got a goal. 4-1 for RSC.

Second half, I headed back to the centre back position, Jackie played striker and Connor in goal. I wanted my hattrick badly. Then, Triptesh scored with a blast to the top corner. 5-1. Jackie later made a good dribble and got the ball in the net to make it 6-1 for RSC. Nicholas and my mistake gave away a consolation goal to BFC and the opponent made it 6-2 for BFC. Still wanting the hattrick, I got the ball from the centre back position, ran with the ball all the way up before giving it through to Nicholas, and he crossed. Ball came to me, controlled it, then nicked it into the net. There was my hattrick, and RSC 7-2. The celebration was quite funny yet embarrassing. Umar, Triptesh, and Dharshen all bowed down before me just because I got the hattrick. I felt awkward and got them to get up. Last goal, scored by Daniel Ong, and RSC took the match with a scoreline of 8-2.

Goalscorers: Tommy Wong (3), Daniel Ong (2), Triptesh Mehta (1), Jackie Seah (1), Selvaraji (1).

Now, at night, I just found out that for the Ramada Cup Bangkok, U16 players born before September 1, 1995 are not allowed to participate in the tournament according to the rules and regulations of the tournament. This rule, however, is one rule I find to be complete utter bullshit. It doesn't make sense at all. That makes our team go down in the number of players. Previously in one of my posts, there were 11 players already selected, and 1 spot yet to be decided (likely to be given to Jackie). The 11 players were:

1. Rajkumar Thangavelu
2. Nicholas Ng
3. Sundeep Singh
4. Sharran Raj
5. Dharshen Mahalingam
6. Triptesh Mehta
7. Daniel Ong
8. Umar Waqqiudin
9. Rizal Zakri
10. Govin Ari
11. Tommy Wong
12. TBA

Now, after getting the news.. it became..

1. Nicholas Ng
2. Dharshen Mahalingam
3. Triptesh Mehta
4. Daniel Ong
5. Govin Ari
6. Tommy Wong

Yes, we are cut down to 6 players now, and we are looking at our U15 players. It's gonna be tough, but I seriously hope that Damien Lim from the U14s would be allowed to be our keeper to defend the title. And also that Vighna Kunendran would be selected for a midfield slot. Others, I am not too sure. We'd need to talk to Coach Lim about this. This is utter bullshit, but life goes on and I'm sure we still can win the Ramada Cup this year. RSC for the win.

Entry #8

Been a little while. Anyway, it's good to actually come once in a little while to post some things on here. Let me continue. I do know what I am doing. It doesn't mean if I act silly in front of people, doesn't mean I'm actually silly and not conscious of what you say about me. When I'm being all cheerful and silly, you people take me as insane. When I am not, everyone goes wondering what went wrong. Yeah, nice one.

Not that I'm complaining, but seriously, we are all teens now. Come on, at least know what you say or what you do. Don't do things which are ridiculous unless you have the guts to face the consequences. I know I have. If I make a joke, you can't take it, fine, go on hating on me. I really don't bother. I mean, really? Being all so sensitive on such little issues? All we've gotta learn is to take the joke. We all have our independent minds, and please, use them. Don't be such childish nuts and do stupid things just to get back at the person who made the joke. I'm not going to mention what stupid acts, but if you are grown up, you'd know.

I may be childish and silly, but on most occasions, I know what I say and what I do. If I get into trouble, I face it. Now, for the past months, I've seen people do things that are.. you know, out of hand at times. We all do this, I know I do it too, but come on, you've gotta know when to stop. If you can't take a person's joke, let him know. Don't do things that are meant for idiots. Best advice? Don't take any jokes personal. I've been there, I took one personally before, and it didn't go too well. That's all I can say.

We are now all grown teens. We should know what is behind every little thing we do or say. My motive behind this post? To let whoever who reads this know that it's not beneficial if you take jokes too personally and start calling names with every personal intent with it. Take a joke and laugh it off. It's that simple. If you can't take it, let the person know. I've made jokes to people who couldn't take it, what do I do? I apologize. I don't laugh it off. I apologize.

So yeah, learn to not take jokes personally and just laugh it off. We all can be immature, childish and silly at certain moments, but we should all know when to stop. If one crosses the line, stop. Best thing to do. Why do we act immature and silly at times? We want to have some laughs and have fun with each other, but if one doesn't know what it takes to do so, I suggest one don't do it at all. This goes out to everyone, including me. We are not perfect, I am not perfect because I may done ridiculous things which I never realized, and we all have room for improvement as a friend, and most important, as a person.

Hypocritical? Maybe. I never said I was perfect.

Entry #7

Things are getting more interesting now as the U16 Astro Junior Football League's Groups are revealed.

Royal Selangor Club are drawn into Group B along with UKRC and CIMB-YFA. Football can't get any better. I've been improving since my sudden drop in form for almost 9 months. Getting back to where I left off last year and hopefully getting better as well.

Checked my mail and I got two emails from Coach Lim. One based on my selection to participate in the Ramada Bangkok Cup and the other regarding Coach Lim's evaluation of my game. It's good.

So I've been selected to play in the Ramada Bangkok Cup which is held on 26th - 27th November. We leave KL on the 25th and we come back on the 29th. It's gonna be good, and I'm definitely in for this trip and tournament. Title defense begins then.

Now the evaluation? It's good. I got 4/5's and 5/5's. Nothing less. So, my aim? To get those 4/5's to 5/5's. Then maybe after that, make them to 6/5's or if possible, more. I mean, there's always room for improvement.

It's been quite awhile since I scored on Sunday training sessions. But during training yesterday, I got a brace in a practice match against the U14s. Not letting it get to my head, but I'm just saying.

The list of players chosen for the Ramada Bangkok Cup has 11 players so far, and there is only one spot left. I'm not too sure if Coach Lim is gonna fill it in with another player but we'll see. The 11 players are:

1) Rajkumar Thangavelu
2) Nicholas Ng
3) Sharran Raj
4) Sundeep Singh
5) Dharshen Mahalingam
6) Triptesh Mehta
7) Umar Waqqiuddin
8) Daniel Ong
9) Govin Arikerisnen
10) Rizal Zakri
11) Tommy Wong

No strikers in this team. So I'm guessing I'd be used as the striker instead of one of the two midfielders like last year. By the way, it's 7 a-side, not 11 a-side. I enjoy playing the striker role, and also since I got a 5/5 evaluation for my Shooting Technique. It'd be good I guess.

Actually, I'm comfortable playing in a few positions. Right Back, Centre-Back, Right Midfield/Wing, Striker. That's 4 positions right there and I didn't include Left-Back and Left-Wing because I'm not good on the left. I can play on the left, but I'm likely to screw while sending in the balls with my left foot. And this leads to what I said earlier, there's always room for improvement.

Entry #5

My sky is so fresh and clean.
The clear promise is the air of the past.
The person holding my hand is you,
But your smile cannot be clearly seen.

Was it because a star changed its heart’s preference?
The wishes of the past have all been thrown away.
I can’t breathe recently.
Even my own shadows, I too want to escape.

Baby you’re my only one.
The two worlds have all changed shapes, it’s not that easy to go back.
Assurance; you’re my only one.
I say I Love You alone to the phone; I really love you.
Baby I cannot love you more than this.

Actually, it has already passed the limit of love.

"Wei Yi - Wong Lee Hom"

Entry #4

Today was a match against Spartans FC. Oh sorry, it's the RSC U16s, not the RSC Tigers.

The starting line-up was: Rajkumar [GK], Nicholas [RB], Sharran and Dharshen [CB], Triptesh [LB], Tommy [RW], Govin and Daniel [CM], Umar [LW], Rizal and Danial [FW].

We had quite a shaky start but eventually got off to things when I scored the first goal thanks to a good pass from Govin. 1-0 the half time score.

Coach Lim was quite alright with the first half performance, and the second half was okay. Sharran scored from the penalty spot. Second penalty was for Triptesh, but he blasted it to the crossbar. Third goal was down to Selva from the subs. Then later on, the defenders went on to concede a goal.

After the game, coach wasn't too happy with the goal conceded and believe all of us could've done better. I believe so, as if we keep playing this way, we're screwed in the National Junior League.

Besides that, a lot of players have been wanting to play against the Nike Academy KL, mainly because they brag about the scores they get against teams, when the teams they play against are mediocre ones. So, quite a number of players want to play against them to "humble" them.

I don't really see the point, to be honest. It doesn't affect us, so why should we bother? They are bragging about it, let them. They are not bothering us in any way.

I'd like to play against the team as well, but only for the right reasons. I don't wanna play against them just so to prove that they are not as good as they say they are. I wanna play against them to test my abilities, get the teamwork going and improving and be able to work our team communication in the match. Not to play against them just to shut them up, and that won't benefit us in any way, trust me. So in the meantime, just sit back and train hard till they contact the coaches for a match. There's no need to harp on the coaches to arrange the game.

"Don't let it get to your head."

Entry #3

I feel messed up right now. This morning during break in school, I had nuggets and sausages for my breakfast. It was made in school. I bought about 3 sticks of nuggets and 3 sausages. It was delicious, only at that time.

After school ended, friends and I headed to Backofen for lunch. By then, I was already feeling tired and giddy and I did not feel good at all.

After lunch, I felt worse while I was heading home. After arriving home, I changed and tucked into bed. My body was really hot, as if I was having high fever or some sort. In fact, I did have fever at that time.

I felt messed up until just recently, when I got up to get the panadol pills. Took them and I felt better after awhile. Then off I went to the toilet and vomited everything out. They were pieces of nuggets and a little bit of sausages (I knew it).

After vomiting, I felt better and I took a shower. The funny thing about me is that I know vomiting will be much better for me, but I always hold it back when it's about to come out. Why? Because I hate tasting the vomit.. Funny man I know. Nevertheless, it's much better now although I still have a slight fever but I'm sure I'll be heading to training tomorrow.

Speaking about training, I feel I'm slowly getting back to my form last year. To be honest, this year, I have been playing pure crap, not football. After the talk with Coach Buddi, I am slowly regaining my confidence and I know I'll be flying when the National Junior League starts. Anyway, I credit everything I'm good at to God, cause without him, I'm nothing.

"Just keep me hanging on."

Entry #2

I'm at my old friend's wedding dinner now. It was all going fine until someone fucks it all up because she tries to be a fucking know-it-all. And cause of that, two others and I've to be paying for that.

Not ranting on twitter because it wouldn't be nice since everyone I know would see it there, so I'd rather rant it on here. It's all fucked up. You fucked it up, why can't you be responsible for it?

One fuck up after another, and you still never learn to do what you're suppose to. Fucking ridiculous. And honestly, it's unfair to me and one other person. If you're given an invitation of 3, come with 3. Do not fucking bring 6.

This tremendously fucked up, but forced to put a smile since it's a friend of mine since I was 1's wedding night. It'd have great if she did not fuck it up. Now it wouldn't be enjoyable. Early in the morning, did a couple of sets of push-ups to get my body fit for the day.

Headed to school, and had futsal for Physical Education. So we had a game among ourselves. White vs Red. I was in the white team, and with me were Bhuddhikar, Elijah, Jason and Ralf. The red team had Matthew, JB, Lassanthe and Yen Ming. It was a fun session after awhile. The only thing was that I busted my right buttock when I dived to tip the ball over the bar. It's hurting really badly now.

Headed home for lunch and took a rest before setting off for training. My busted bum gave me a difficult time during training. It wasn't easy but I managed. Training was good, and I finally had the talk with Coach Buddi.

It was about my game. It was sort of a heart-to-heart talk between the player and coach. Would like to go further into it but I'd keep to myself this time. Hopefully, I get my form back soon.

It was a fairly good day. No complaints, in fact, it's been awhile since I had such a day. I had no intention of blogging to be honest, but I saw a tweet about the blogger app on the iPhone, so I guess the feeling of playing with a new app kicked in.

Tomorrow's gonna be quite a tough day. I'll be having training in the morning, then I'll be playing a friendly match for my neighborhood team against some other team. Need rest! Not gonna be easy, but there's nothing I can't handle.

"If you wanna be the best, you've gotta take out the best."
